Create Videos for Instagram, Twitter, Facebook & Vine using PowerPoint

Videos are becoming very popular recently on Social Media as I mentioned earlier in this article Competition on Social Media Videos. But what if you’re -like me- not a video editor, how can we join this massive engaging type of media.

I have fair knowledge with PowerPoint, at least I know how to use the powerful animation feature. And that might be enough to get you started.

Why videos & How to Use Videos In Social Strategy?

I wrote 8 ways brands can use Videos in their Social Strategy. One of them was using video during events or to raise awareness about certain stats of your products.

Ramadan is almost here, and its a huge thing in the middle east. So it is a good chance to start joining Ramadan conversation by posting animated & engaging videos related to Ramadan on Twitter.

Told people to celebrate Ramadan with Twitter using simple Animation

And even posted cool statistics about #health Tweets in Ramadan

Both videos are created using one of the most common tools for PC users – Microsoft’s PowerPoint

What i did basically was create a new slide, added the images i will be using, added the text then animated them with PowerPoint’s animation feature

Simple clicks that requires no advanced knowledge, the process is pretty self explanatory.

then one I was finished with animating things, I simply “Saved file as” and selected MP4

And the results was the video you saw in my tweet.

You can download the PPTX example and use it as a reference

echo ‘<a href=”http://1drv.ms/1EIbs4h” class=”btn btn-info btn-block btn-lg text-uppercase”>Download Videos made with PowerPoint Example PPTX </a>’;

[/php]

The ideas really never ends.

Next: Uploading to Social Media

After you export the MP4 file, you can send it to your mobile and start uploading to Social Networks. For instagram, simply navigate to the video and upload it – Same for Vine & Facebook.

For Twitter things are a bit different, on Android you can’t really upload videos, but if you’re an advertiser, you can navigate to your Dashboard > Creatives > Videos > Upload new video. Once the upload is done, you can simply tweet it

Note:

It’s important to know that each Social Media has its Video Size, for example a video that would fit Twitter & Facebook won’t fit Instagram

here’s an example

How To resize Videos for Each Social Media Network

Simply change the slide size from PowerPoint

Design > Change Slide Size > Custom Slide Size

Instagram for instance has a ratio of 1:1 as I mentioned in Ideal Sizes for Social Media Images

So make sure you have same with size value as your hieght
